The executive director of the Art Directors Guild has been granted a three-year extension to his contract, effective January 1, 2015.

The development means that by 2017, Roth will have served the Guild for 20 years.

He joined as executive director in 1997 and has also served on the board of directors of the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans and on the western region council of the Actors Fund.

Roth previously served as associate general counsel of the Directors Guild Of America from 1983 to 1988 and handled business affairs for various film production companies and maintained his own law firm.

His wife Grace Reiner is vice-president of business affairs at the Disney Channel.
