Rosser appointed Managing Editor; Wiseman to become Head of News

Michael Rosser and Andreas Wiseman

Two members of Screen’s London-based team are being promoted with immediate effect. Michael Rosser has been appointed Managing Editor and Andreas Wiseman has been appointed Head of News.

Rosser, who steps up to Managing Editor from his current position as News Editor, will become the editor for all of Screen’s festival and market dailies across print and online.

He will drive the editorial development of the dailies to ensure Screen remains market leader at festivals and markets, as well as continuing to oversee and expand Screen’s digital presence, led by ScreenDaily.

As Head of News, Wiseman will coordinate Screen’s news coverage and manage Screen’s team of international correspondents. He will also remain Screen’s Chief Reporter.

Rosser joined Screen as News Editor in September 2012 from sister title Broadcast, where he worked as International and Web Editor.

Wiseman joined Screen as a full-time reporter in June 2010 before being promoted to Chief Reporter in September 2012.

Both will report directly to editor Matt Mueller.

Mueller said: “Since joining Screen in February, I have had the privilege of working closely with and getting to know Mike and Andreas and have been hugely impressed by their skills, judgment, industry knowledge and tireless dedication to Screen.

“Their individual contributions to Screen International and ScreenDaily are immense, and as the global film industry continues to evolve in fascinating ways, these new roles will allow them to develop professionally while taking Screen to its next phase of development.”

Rosser and Wiseman are based in Screen’s London headquarters and can be reached at michael.rosser@screendaily.com and andreas.wiseman@screendaily.com.
