Season includes three of the Globe’s 2011 productions and kicks off on Sept 26.

In partnership with Arts Alliance Media, Shakespeare’s Globe will release three of its 2011 productions to cinemas in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand as part of their Globe on Screen season.

John Dove’s All’s Well That Ends Well, starring Olivier award-winning actress Janie Dee, starts the season on Sept 26, with Jeremy Herrin’s Much Ado About Nothing, starring Eve Best and Charles Edwards, and Matthew Dunster’s Doctor Faustus, starring Doctor Who’s Arthur Darvill as Mephistopheles [pictured], continuing the season from Oct 10 and Oct 24 respectively.

Dominic Dromgoole, artistic director of Shakespeare’s Globe, commented: “With the advent of new technology it is now possible to see and hear theatrical productions in the cinema with a wonderful sharpness and clarity. We are delighted that these productions will be finding new audiences, who can experience Globe shows as if they were in the building.”
