Representatives are at Filmart to talk about their upcoming second edition.

Telefilm Vietnam representatives are at Filmart to talk about their second edition, set to run June 5-7 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City.

Organisers expect 5,000 international and local participants with over 300 exhibitors from countries including Japan, Denmark, Thailand and Korea.

“The event is set to be larger than previous markets in both size and scope. Vietnam is the fastest growing economy in Asia and […] is eager to import, export and co-produce high quality digital content,” says Ha Thi Phuong Lam, general director at organiser ADPEX Joint Stock Company.

“The government is seeking to revitalise [the feature film] industry and there […] is definitely a market for feature films and potential co-productions in Vietnam,” she says.

Seminars and conferences this year will focus on the introduction of the latest technology in the broadcasting market, such as monetising video content with advertisements, subscriptions and pay-per-view.

Vietnam Television (VTV) will also be hosting a dialogue about 4G, I-Cloud applications and the new HD systems now present in Vietnam.
