King Cobra

LA-based The Exchange has launched talks with international buyers at Toronto International Film Festival (Sept 8-18) on porn industry film King Cobra starring James Franco, Christian Slater and Molly Ringwald.

The film premiered in Tribeca’s Midnight strand earlier this year and receives its European premiere at the BFI London Film Festival next month.

IFC FIlms holds US rights. Justin Kelly directed the film about the murder in 2007 of a gay porn director by two ambitious producers. Kelly adapted the screenplay from Andrew E. Stoner and Peter A. Conway’s book, Cobra Killer: Gay Porn, Murder, And The Manhunt To Bring the Killers To Justice.

The Exchange is also in town talking up Stephanie Laing’s genre title Irreplaceable You, Sundance documentary Gleason and Dustin Lance Black’s The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight, which is scheduled to shoot this autumn.
