Japan, Korea sold on In A Better World, Melancholia lands in Germany, Italy.

Leading Nordic sales outfit TrustNordisk has completed new sales on Susanne Bier’s much-buzzed upcoming movie In A Better World which sold to Sony Pictures Classics in the US at Cannes.

Longride has taken the film for Japan, Cinus for Korea, First Distributors for Hong Kong, Cineplex for Colombia and Central America and Scanorama for Lithuania.

The film has now sold to 30 territories; previous deals also include Universum in Germany, Frenetic in Switzerland and California Filmes in Brazil.

Lars Von Trier’s next film Melancholia starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgaard and John Hurt has gone to Concorde in Germany and Austria, BIM Distribuzione in Italy, Frenetic in Switzerland and IPA in Thailand.

Also on the TrustNordisk lineup, Juan went to Four Corners/Wild Bunch in Benelux and Praesens Film in Switzerland; family title Karla & Jonas was sold to NinetySeven in France and Ploddy The Police Car went to Jekino in Benelux and Century 21 in Iran.
