Stoddart previously directed upcoming BBC documentary Driven: The Fastest Woman in the World, a portrait of a woman F1 driver, and work for Channel 4’s Coming Up strand.

Agile said of Disturbed: ‘We’re very excited to be working with David. This project perfectly fulfills our ambitions of producing quality features from emerging filmmakers that have a clear commercial hook as well as a strong originality and creative integrity. The film is still at script development stage, but our plan is to go out to cast this summer in the hope of pulling together a package that will prove attractive to our investors. If all goes to plan, we hope to start filming in early 2014”.

The London-based production outfit previously produced football doc Next Goal Wins, about the hapless American Samoan football team, and is also developing Beast, the debut feature from BAFTA and BIFA nominated director Michael Pearce who is currently shooting Keeping Up With The Joneses, a short for the BFI/Lighthouse scheme.
