26th edition of the festival will be held in spring 2012.

The 26th edition of the BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, the longest running gay film event in the UK, will be held in spring 2012, the BFI announced today.

Dates for the festival are yet to be confirmed, but organisers aim to increase the length from this year’s six days and to present a selection of new international cinema and live events, all held at BFI Southbank. Industry services for delegates from the UK and abroad, including wi-fi facilities and a screening room for online viewing, will be available throughout the festival at BFI Southbank’s The Blue Room.

This year’s festival, which ran March 31-April 6, achieved a record-breaking 89% seat occupancy across the festival period.
