Leading UK theatrical distributor for socially conscious films, Dogwoof, has acquired distribution rights to nine documentaries from the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), including the multi-award winning Up the Yangtze( EyeSteelFilm/NFB).

Yangtze and two other titles acquired played at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, including Triage: Dr. James Orbinski’s Humanitarian Dilemma (NFB/White Pine Pictures) and Fierce Light: When Spirit Meets Action (FierceLight Films/NFB).

Other key titles include Waterlife (Primitive Entertainment/NFB) as well as two films co-produced by Macumba DOC and the NFB: Grace, Milly, Lucy… Child Soldiers and Under the Hood, a Voyage into the World of Torture. Dogwoof also acquired rights to the feature docs The Strangest Dream, The Coca-Cola Case (Argus Films/NFB) and Nollywood Babylon (AM Pictures/NFB).
