Slate includes Rio and London films shooting this year.

Ealing Metro International has taken on international sales for Julien Temple’s series of five ‘cities and music’ documentaries.

The first two films, Rio-set Children Of The Revolution and This Is London, will shoot this year (Rio wil shoot in September and October.) This Is London is commissioned by BBC Arts to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games and looks at London’s transformation as a global metropolis.

Tijuana-set TIJUANALANDIA will follow, and new projects will be announced in Havana and Berlin.

UK-based F&ME is producing the Rio film while Rosa Bosch will produce London (with Temple) and Tijuana.

Rosa Bosch said: “Undoubtedly Julien Temple is one of the great visionaries and maverick creators of the documentary music form. A long admirer of Julien and having watched his recent Requiem for Detroit, it is a great pleasure to collaborate with him to bring to the screen his unique and timely take on these cities.”
