UK sales company Hanway Films has secured multiple pre sales on Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights

UK sales company Hanway Films has sold Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights to a slew of territories including Artifical Eye and Film 4 in the UK and Diaphana in France.

Deals have also been made in Germany (Prokino), Spain (Alta) Australia (Transmission),South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Portugal (Lusomundo), Switzerland (Frenetic), Benelux (Cineart), Greece / Romania (Odeon), Czech Republic(Intersonic), Poland (Gutek), Ex Yugoslavia (Tuck), Iceland (Myndform), Hong Kong / Singapore (Golden Scene), Turkey (Horizon), Middle East(Front Row), Russia (Maywin), Korea (Thomas Entertainment), Latin America (Swen).

The Ecosse/Film Four production is due to begin shooting in May in Yorkshire. Olivia Hetreed has written the screenplay for this latest film version of Emily Bronte’s classic novel.

HanWay’s current slate includes David Cronenberg’s The Talking Cure, Super starring Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page and Liv Tyler from producer Ted Hope, Sam Taylor Wood’s Nowhere Boy starring Aaron Johnson and Lone Sherfig’s An Education.

Films in post include Takashi Miike’s Thirteen Assassins, Nigel Cole’s We Want Sex starring Sally Hawkins, and Christopher Smith’s Black Death starring Sean Bean.
