The Australian set film will star veteran actress Gena Rowlands.

London based High Point Films is teaming up with Australian producer Antony I. Ginnane on David Pulbrook’s directorial debut Last Dance, which is gearing up to shoot in Australia.

High Point will handle sales on the film, which stars Gena Rowlands as a Jewish holocaust survivor who is held hostage by a wounded Palestinian radical after a terrorist attack in her Melbourne neighbourhood.

Becker is lined up as distributor for Australia and New Zealand.

Last Dance is both gripping and moving, managing effectively and simply to capture something fundamentally human at the heart of a notoriously complex and seemingly unresolvable conflict”, said High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald.

“Distributors looking for intelligent, emotionally engaging films that tackle live issues in a timeless manner should not miss out,” she added.

High Point will be pre selling the film at the EFM in Berlin.
