As part of UK Trade & Investment’s international business legacy programme during the Olympic Games, film experts will be talking about the UK industry to global business leaders.

The core theme of the Creative Content day is looking at commercialising creativity in the international marketplace – the direct theme of a speech from Sony Corp Chairman Howard Stringer.

During the Creative Industries segment of the programme on July 31, speakers will include Josh Berger [pictured] from Warner Bros alongside actors Rupert Grint and producer David Heyman talking about the phenomenon of Harry Potter; Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan will talk about challenges in global box office success; and Eon’s Michael Wilson talking about the James Bond global franchise.

Also other speakers will include UK Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt, Pinewood Shepperton CEO Ivan Dunleavy, and experts from the TV (Julian Fellowes, Stephen Moffatt, Jane Tranter), games, theatre, fashion (Stella McCartney), publishing (Michael Morpurgo) and music industries.

In all there will be 17 business summits starting July 26, marking the largest set of trade and investment events ever held in the UK. The sessions will be held at the British Business Embassy in Lancaster House.
