Emily Morgan, producer of Directors’ Fortnight 2017 title I Am Not A Witch, and Nina Bisgaard, producer of the Oscar-nominated Border, are among the 20 up-and-coming producers to be selected for the European Film Promotion (EFP)’s Producers On The Move showcase, which takes place at the Cannes Film Festival (May 14-25).

The programme for 20th edition runs from May 16-20, and includes pitching sessions, case studies, and one-to-one meetings with the international industry.

Morgan produced the Bifa and Bafta-winning I Am Not A Witch through her UK outfit Quiddity Films, while Bisgaard, representing Denmark, made Border with Sweden’s Meta Film.

The programme is backed by the European Union’s Creative Europe – MEDIA programme, and supported by 20 of EFP’s film promotion institutions, including German Films, UniFrance and the British Council.

Three alumni of the programme have films premiering in Competition at Cannes this year: Janine Jackowski co-produced The Whistler; while Diana Elbaum and Luis Urbano co-produced Frankie.

Additionally, Francois Kraus executive produed Out Of Competition title La Belle Époque, while Donato Rotunno co-produced Un Certain Regard title O Que Arde.
