Following the arrival of Universal Pictures chief Jeff Shell, Universal has brought the physical and digital sales, marketing and distribution operations for film and television under one roof. 

The digital distribution division will merge under Universal Studios Home Entertainment (USHE) president Craig Kornblau. 

Michael Bonner will continue to lead the North American digital distribution team, overseeing distribution for film and television across all platforms including video-on-demand and electronic sell-through. 

Bonner’s title will change to evp of digital Distribution for USHE and he will report to Universal president and chief distribution office Peter Levinsohn and Kornblau. 

Jessica Schell will become evp of new media and digital entertainment for Universal and will continue to oversee global expansion of the studio’s strategic relationships with digital companies across all existing and emerging platforms. 

She reports to Levinsohn and will lead the company’s efforts to create new digital business opportunities, including initiatives to exploit new content, windows and formats such as UltraViolet.
