Paolo and Vittorio Taviani’s Italian foreign language Oscar submission won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale earlier in the year and kick off the Los Angeles event on Nov 13.

Carlo Verdone’s 2012 comedy A Flat For Three and Roan Johnson’s 2011 comedy The First On The List will close the festival on Nov 18.

The special presentation is the 1960 war drama Two Women, which earned Sophia Loren a lead actress Oscar in 1962.

The festival, presented by Luce Cinecittà and the American Cinematheque, will take place at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica and the Italian Cultural Institute Of Los Angeles.

The line-up includes One Day More, Diaz: Don’t Clean Up This Blood and Il Rosso E Il Blu.

“Cinema Italian Style 2012 confirms the great vitality of Italian cinema with the selection of this year’s films,” said Roberto Cicutto, CEO of Luce Cinecittà. “We are delighted to showcase such an array of movies, promoting our new talent, yet not missing their artistic predecessors.

“With our long-term partners, the Consulate General Of Italy, Los Angeles, the Italian Trade Commission, Los Angeles, the Italian Cultural Institute, Los Angeles and the American Cinematheque, Luce Cinecittà is proud to offer the best of Italy in a week full of art and beauty.”
