New York-based The Vladar Company has been talking with buyers on a trio of new titles led by mixed martial arts documentary The Hurt Business.
KSM has acquired German rights to the film, which will chronicle the lives of indomitable UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey [pictured], UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones and former UFC light-heavyweight champion Rashad ‘Suga’ Evans.
Vladar co-founder Vlad Yudin, whose credits include Generation Iron, will direct and serve as executive producer alongside co-founder Edwin Mejia and Jim Czarnecki.
Madman has picked up Australian and New Zealand rights to this as well as to the fashion designer documentary Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer.
Mejia handled negotiations on AFM sales on behalf of The Vladar Company.
