Nicolas Chartier will look to stir up pre-sales in Berlin on the Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche romance in the run-up to a March 18 production start in Vancouver.

Fred Schepisi will direct from a screenplay by Gerald DiPego about a charismatic English teacher and an art teacher who fall in love at an insular New England prep school. Voltage represents world rights.

Curtis Burch produces through his Latitude Productions in association with Gary Cogill of Dallas-based Lascaux Films and DiPego. Joseph Cohen of American Entertainment Investors and Nancy Rae Stone are the executive producers.

The Voltage slate includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s feature directorial debut and Sundance hit Don Jon’s Addiction. Relativity Media snapped up US rights in Park City with a $4m advance and a $25m p&a commitment and eyes a summer theatrical release.

Also on the roster are The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman starring Shia LaBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood, Mads Mikkelsen and Til Schweiger.
