The Guild on Thursday unveiled its nominees in the categories of television series/specials, children’s programmes, long-form television, sports programmes and digital series.

Westworld

As expected, heavyweight contenders include Westworld (pictured), Stranger Things, Game Of Thrones, House Of Cards, and black-ish. The 28th Annual Producers Guild Awards will take place on January 28 in Beverly Hills.

This year the Producers Guild Of America (PGA) will present special honours to Tom Rothman (Milestone Award), and James L. Brooks (Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television).

Also up for special recognition are Irwin Winkler (David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures), Loving (Stanley Kramer Award) and Megan Ellison (Visionary Award).

The PGA announced the documentary theatrical motion pictures category nominations in late 2016. The theatrical motion picture and animated theatrical motion picture nominees will be announced on January 10.

The David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Long-Form Television
