Nigel Wooll, executive producer on Miss Potter and co-producer on GI Jane, is to produce The Brigadier alongside Turn of the Century Productions.

The UK production company optioned the international thriller The Brigadier by Josh Rosenberg. Keith Sweitzer brought the script to Turn of the Century and will produce for the company alongside Nigel Wooll.

The story follows two brothers who are separated at a young age in the Cold War era Soviet Union and reunite later in the US during the early 1990's in the wake of the fall of communism.

Turn of the Century has also acquired the rights to Andrew Rowland's novel, Dancing On The Brink Of The World, which is being adapted by James Coyne.

Both projects will be fully funded by Millennium Film Finance Corporation, the joint venture Malta finance arm of Turn of the Century Productions, and Rio Grande Studios. Shooting on both will start next year.
