Summit International and Nordisk Film have signed a three-year output deal in Scandinavia until 2010.

The deal begins with Get Some, Push, Step Up 2 The Streets, Twilight and Sex Drive and will also include films that are produced, co-produced and/or acquired by Summit during the output term. The deal excludes pictures on which Summit is acting as sales agent.

Nordisk has previously released Summit titles such as Memento, Donnie Brasco, Babel and Alexander.

The deal was announced at the AFM by Summit Entertainment's chief operating officer Bob Hayward, Summit International president David Garrett, Nodisk managing director Mikkel Berg and Nordisk Film Independent Distribution general manager Peter Philipsen.

'Nordisk is one of the two major exhibitors and distributors in Scandinavia, and this agreement will give Summit a firm foothold in the market in the years to come,' Garrett said. 'They have proved to be a most creative and professional team, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership with Nordisk.'

Berg said the deal 'fits perfectly with our overall strategy of bringing strong filmed content to the Nordic consumers in all windows. I have great expectations of our future co-operation with Summit.'

Summit has an existing output arrangement for its product with SND/M6 in France and is close to announcing a similar deal in Germany.
