Amongstthe smaller European territories to receive The Ring Two day-and-datewith the US, Norway saw the horror sequel gain the lead position ahead of Robotsat the box office.

Admissions favoured Robots but the lower ticketprices for children saw The Ring Two the champion in grosses. This wasalso reflected in screen averages as The Ring Two played at 63 fewerscreens than Robots in the country.

TheRing was released in Norway on Feb 21, 2003 and sold11,343 tickets at 21 screens over its debut weekend to take sixth place with a$135,082 (NKR 826,861).

Alsoplaying well this week were titles from other Nordic territories. Danishreleases Dalecarlians and King's Game both debuted on the chart,while Swedish release As It Is In Heaven continued to play well.

Also playing remarkably well is German hit Downfallwhich after five weeks remains in the top five and has receipts surpassingHollywood sequel Meet The Fockers which has been in release a weeklonger. More than 151,000 Norwegians have now seen the film about Hitler's lastdays.
