Rick Nowak has been promoted to COO at New Wave Entertainment, while Alan Duke has been promoted to executive vice president and general counsel and Greg Woertz has moved up to executive vice president and CFO.

The executive trio will oversee operations for all New Wave services and brands, which include TV & film production, talent management and home entertainment.

New Wave previously announced that Alan Baral left his position as co-CEO as of July 3 but will continue as a consultant. Paul Apel remains with the company as owner and CEO.

Nowak joined New Wave in 1997 as head of the finishing division and was named vice president of post production in 2000. He began his career at The Cimarron Group.

Duke joined last year as general counsel and head of business affairs and prior to that served as senior vice president and general counsel at the G4 network. He has also overseen business and legal affairs as senior vice president for Walt Disney Television and Touchstone Television and served in a senior capacity at Miramax Television.

Woertz joined New Wave in 2004 as CFO and has worked with such producers as Dino De Laurentiis and Edward Pressman.
