Optimum Releasing acquires UK theatrical and video rights from Odyssey to Is There Anybody There' John Crowley's first film since acclaimed Boy A.

Optimum Releasing has taken UK theatrical and video rights from Odyssey Entertainment to J ohn Crowley's follow-up to Boy A, Is There Anybody There' starring Michael Caine, David Morrissey, Anne-Marie Duff, Leslie Phillips and Bill Milner. The film follows a young boy who lives in an old people's home and strikes up an unexpected friendship with a retired magician.

' We are delighted to have acquired such a wonderful film and to be working with talents such as director John Crowley and producers David Heyman and Peter Saraf, all of whose work we have greatly admired,' said Optimum managing director/COO Danny Perkins. 'Is There Anybody There' is another genuinely special British film which we are sure will enjoy the success of our other recent local releases which include Son of Rambow and This is England.'

Optimum Releasing is represented in the ongoing Times BFI London Film Festival, with a variety of titles, from Steven Soderbergh's Che to Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Tokyo! from Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-ho.
