Germany Oscar-winning director Caroline Link, who received the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2003 for Nowhere In Africa (Nirgendwo In Afrika), is to begin shooting her next feature Im Winter Ein Jahr (working title) this summer at locations in Munich and surroundings.

The co-production between Bavaria Filmverleih- und Produktions GmbH and Constantin Filmproduktion and will be produced by Uschi Reich and Martin Moszkowicz. Constantin Filmverleih will distribute theatrically in Germany.

The drama, adaptated by Link from the novel Aftermath by Scott Campbell, follows a renowned artist (played by Winter Journey's Josef Bierbichler) and the young dancer (Karoline Herfurth from Perfume - The Story of a Murderer) whose portrait he has been commissioned to paint. To complete the portrait, he must uncover the young woman's darkest secrets. The German-language production will also star Corinna Harfouch (Perfume) and Hanns Zischler (Overnight).

Originally, Link had been set to direct Aftermath as her English-language debut last year at locations in Boston for Robert Cort Productions.
