Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous opens the 10th anniversary edition of the Oslo International Film Festival, which runs November 16-26.

Highlights at this year's event include festival favourites such as Edward Yang's A One And A Two, Karyn Kusama's Girlfight, Kenneth Lonergan's You Can Count On Me, Jerzy Stuhr's The Big Animal and Kristian Levring's The King Is Alive.

Japanese films take centre stage in a section including The Ring horror trilogy and Takashi Miike's Kintaro, while a tribute to cult director Errol Morris includes a screening of his 11-part First Person series.

All Norwegian films produced since the last edition will be screened during the traditional Made in Norway section.
