It is not enough for the investment company to take private ownership of the studio group.

Peel Acquisitions has taken ownership of 71.1% of shares in Pinewood Shepperton, increasing its number of shares in the studio from 13,766,500 to 33,574,818.

The property investor’s offer for the Pinewood shares closed at the end of last week.

However it is not enough to allow Peel to delist Pinewood from the London Stock Exchange which would require 75%, a move that was blocked by Stockport-based jeweler, Warren James who took a stake in Pinewood last month.
