Independent Dutch distributor RCV Entertainment has announced details of a number of high profile acquisitions at last month's American Film Market.

The Hilversum based company was one of the first buyers for Tom Tykwer's Pefume adaptation, which was sold by Summit Entertainment.

RCV has also high hopes for the science-fiction epic Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow, directed by first-timer Kerry Conran with Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law and Angelina Jolie in the lead. The film was financed by Aurelio De Laurentiis and produced by Jon Avnet, and is set to be released by Paramount Pictures in the US, U.K., Australia and New Zealand

RCV also acquired The Big White, a comedy with Robin Williams and Meg Ryan, and directed by BAFTA winner Mark Mylod. The story deals with a travel agent working in Alaska, married to a wife who suffers from Tourette's syndrome.

RCV also picked up: One Perfect Day, set in the dance scene, from Odyssey Entertainment; Sylvia from Capitol Films; and thriller Down In The Valley, starring Edward Norton and Evan Rachel Wood, from Summit Entertainment.
