Corporate communications executives Paul Pflug and MelissaZukerman are teaming up to launch the Principal Communications Group (PCG).

Based in Los Angeles, PCG will focus on strategic positioning,corporate brand development, transaction representation and crisis counsel inthe fields of entertainment, business and philanthropy.

The firm will officially launch on May 1, 2006 and both Pflug andZukerman will serve as managing partners.

Pflug, who previously served as senior vice president of mediarelations at Universal Pictures, met and collaborated with Zuckerman, who wasworking at her self-titled corporate communications firm, on strategy and mediarelations activities involving the Universal Studios Partnerships group (USP).

They will continue to represent USP, as well as a client rosterthat includes Wasserman Media Group, Sony Wonder/Sony BMG Home Entertainment,MovieTickets.com, and Qualia Capital.

During his time at Universal Pictures, Pflug was the primarystrategist for all internal and external corporate and executive imaging.

Prior to that he served as executive vice president of mediarelations and corporate communications at Miramax Films, and executive vicepresident of national publicity and corporate communications at ArtisanEntertainment. He was also a partner at national public relations and marketingfirm Bragman Nyman Cafarelli.

Throughout her career Zukerman has specialised in building equityand awareness for established and emerging businesses. Her senior executiveappointments prior to setting up Zukerman PR in 2001 include Universal, IFILM,E! Entertainment Television and Virgin.
