CliveBarker's Midnight Picture Show label (MPS) and Armada Pictures are teaming upto produce the horror picture Plague, which is set to begin shooting inFebruary 2005.

Barker,Jorge Saralegui and Tim O'Hair will produce and Armada's Chris Sievernich andMatt Milich will serve as executive producers with MPS's Joe Daley and AnthonyDiblasi and D H Blair Pictures' Michael Almog and Morton Davis.

Based on ascreenplay by Hal Masonberg and Teal Minton and set to be directed byMasonberg, Plague is set in a post apocalyptic near-future where theworld's entire population of children awaken from coma to attack their parents.

"Teal and I feel incredibly lucky to beworking with the folks at Midnight Picture Show and Armada," Masonberg said ina statement. "It's rare to find people in this business who feel, as I do, thatthe best horror films deal with existing fears, be they social orpsychological."

MidnightPicture Show is a joint venture between Clive Barker's Seraphim Films andSaralegui. Barker and Saralegui will supervise the label's offerings withSeraphim executives Joe Daley and Anthony DiBlasi.

In a jointstatement Seraphim said: "We've been in development for the last year with agoal in mind to make a dark and seductive horror that stays faithful to Clive'svision and source material. Projects lower in budget but high in quality andcontent."

Barker iscurrently producing Dread for 20th Century Fox, based on his short storyby the same name, and is writing Tortured Souls for Universal, which heis attached to direct.
