Plum Pictures, the fledglingproduction company founded by Galt Niederhoffer, Celine Rattray and DanielaSoto-Taplin, has teamed up with New York-based integrated entertainment outfitMadstone to uncover talent and projects for the latter's Directors Programme.

Plum will relocate toMadstone's corporate offices in Manhattan as part of the move and will work onthe Directors Programme in tandem with separate projects of its own.

Madstone's co-chiefexecutive officer and co-founder Tom Gruenberg oversees the Directors Programmeand made the deal with Plum.

"We are extremely excited bythis partnership, which we see as a natural fit for both parties," Rattray saidin a statement.

Plum's first film TheMichael Pellegrino Project was soldto New Line in June with Emmy Award-winner James Manos Jr set to write thescreenplay.

Other projects include TheAngelo Brooks Story and adaptationsof Edmund Morris' Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller The Rise Of TheodoreRoosevelt and Jamaica Kincaid'saward-winning novel, Lucy.

Madstone Films' firstcompleted title to emerge from the Directors Programme is Aaron Woodley'sfantasy coming-of-age story Rhinoceros Eyes, which received its world premiere in the Discoverysection at Toronto last week.
