Nathan Powell has joined Samuel Goldwyn Films and RoadsideAttractions as vice president of marketing.

Powell will be based in the New York offices of IDP, the marketingand distribution arm of Samuel Goldwyn Films and Roadside Attractions, and willreport to IDP president Michael Silberman.

'We are delighted and fortunate to have Nathan's talents and enthusiasmjoin the IDP team,' Silberman said. 'Nathan's vast experience willbroaden our marketing efforts as we continue to release a wide spectrum offilms geared to reach a broad range of audiences.'

Powell arrives as Samuel Goldwyn Films prepares to release theWestern thriller Seraphim Falls starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan on Jan 26, 2007.

Next up will be the joint Samuel Goldwyn Films and Roadside Attractionsrelease of Michael Apted's historical drama Amazing Grace on Feb 23, and Samuel Goldwyn's comedy BlindDating in March 2007.

Powell previously served as vice president, management supervisorat Terry Hines & Associates in New York where his clients included DreamWorksand Paramount Pictures.

Prior to that he held various marketing, publicity, promotions andadvertising positions at Wellspring, Artisan, Miramax Films and Sony PicturesClassics.
