The visual services company has promoted its finance director Neil Barnett to its board.

Prime Focus, the visual entertainment services company, has appointed finance chief Neil Barnett to its board. He joined the company as finance director last year.

Barnett, a qualified chartered management accountant, has worked in international corporate finance for more than 20 years. He is the former CFO at Eastman Kodak’s film production and post-production services subsidiary, Cinesite, where he was responsible for finance across the group’s offices at London, at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, and in Los Angeles.

Prior to joining Prime Focus, he was group CFO and deputy chief executive of international property company, Imagine Homes.

Namit Malhotra, chairman of Prime Focus, which is listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM), said Barnett has “an excellent understanding of the sector. He added: “We are delighted to welcome him to the board – he’s made a material contribution to the business since he joined us early last year.”  

Prime Focus is one of the creative forces behind film including Robin Hood and Quantum Of Solace, documentaries such as America: The Story of The US and Stephen Hawking’s Universe. It is also involved in advertising for brands such as McDonalds and Stella Artois.
