The upcoming Asian FilmMarket will have a focus on Asian talent and talent agencies with companiessuch as Korea's Namoo and IHQ, Japan's Stardust and Hong Kong's Jet Tone set toattend the four-day market (October 15-18).

The market also hopes tosign up agencies from the US and other Asian territories including China andTaiwan.

"We aim to helpinternational companies learn how to work with Asian talent which in turnshould stimulate co-production between Asia and the West," says marketconsultant Paul Yi.

The Pusan AFM expects tohost around 150 companies in the Grand Hotel in Pusan's Haeundae district.Sales companies that have signed up to attend include Arclight Films, HanWayFilms, Hong Kong's Focus Films, Thailand's Sahamongkolfilm International andTaiwan's Three Dots/Serenity International.

The market is also settingup a global alliance of film organisation partners including European FilmPromotion and Telefilm Canada.
