Radical Publishing, which is partnered with film company Intandem, has had hits with its first two comic book releases through subsidiary Radical Comics: Hercules: The Thracian Wars and Caliber: First Canon Of Justice.

Radical Comics sold out of 40,000 units of the two titles during its launch week starting April 30.

Intandem has a 10% equity stake in Radical Publishing and will sell rights to live-action films based on Radical's comic book properties.

The companies have John Woo attached to their first adaptation, Caliber.

Gary Smith, chairman of Intandem, said: 'Radical are delivering exactly what the market wants, quality comic books that can easily be translated to international box office success on the big screen. The popularity of 300, Iron Man and 30 Days of Night shows the potential of their product and the heights they can aspire to. We are proud and excited to be working with them in bringing these films to fruition.'
