The Raindance Film Festival is moving to Apollo Cinemas for this year’s edition, which runs September 30 to October 11.

The Apollo Piccadilly Circus Cinema will screen more than 200 features and short films over the period, along with special events, Q&A screenings and masterclasses.

Elliot Grove, the founder of Raindance, who was awarded an honorary doctorate in independent film from Plymouth College of Arts earlier this week, said: “The move will enable the festival to have a central focus point for film-makers and industry professionals.”

This year’s festival jury and line-up will be announced in early September.
