Opening later this month in Moscow, the new office will aim to increase RealD’s presence across Russia’s emerging cinema landscape.

RealD Inc. have announced that they will open their first office in Russia later this month.

Situated in Moscow, the office will focus on sales, customer service, exhibitor relations and operations for the company’s 3D cinema division, and will aim to increase RealD’s presence across Russia’s emerging cinema landscape. The number of 3D enabled screens in Russia has increased by more than 200% over the past 24 months, according to a recent report from IHS Screen Digest.

The announcement was made during Russia’s KinoExpo 2012 where RealD is providing the 3D technology for presentations of The Life Of Pi for 20th Century Fox and The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby for Warner Bros.

RealD currently has offices in Colorado, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai, alongside its headquarters in California.
