Ariel Veneziano’s Recreation has boarded international sales on Easy Rider: The Ride Back heading into AFM.

The deal marks the first collaboration between Recreation and home entertainment distributor Level 33 Entertainment.

Easy Rider: The Ride Back follows the fortunes of the Williams family that spawned the Wyatt Williams character portrayed by Peter Fonda in the 1969 counterculture classic Easy Rider. Pan America Pictures produced.

Jeff Fahey, Sheree J Wilson, Chris Engen, Michelle Borth, Rance Howard, Michael Nouri and newcomer Thomas Blakenship star.

“This is a fun, original take on the original cult classic,” Veneziano said. “We are thrilled to join the ride, along with our partners at Level 33, on this exciting and highly commercial picture.”

Recreation’s AFM 2010 line up includes Jody Shapiro’s Toronto entry How To Start Your Own Country, Alistair Banks Griffith’s Cannes Directors Fortnight contender Two Gates Of Sleep, which receives its US Premiere at the AFI film festival and, in collaboration with Menemsha Films, Czech Academy Award entry Kawasaki’s Rose.
