Regent Releasing hasacquired worldwide rights to James Burke's family drama Aurora Borealis and will release it domestically on Sept 15.

The film, which stars JoshuaJackson, Donald Sutherland, Juliette Lewis and Louise Fletcher, has played atnumerous film festivals throughout the US including Tribeca, Jackson Hole andFort Lauderdale.

Jackson plays an aimlessyoung man who becomes an assistant handyman at his grandmother's seniorresidence where he develops a special bond with his ailing grandfather(Sutherland).

The film was financed andproduced by Entitled Entertainment; producers are Scott Disharoon and RickBieber and the script was written by Brent Boyd.

The deal was negotiated byJohn Manulis of Visionbox Pictures and Hilary Bibicoff on behalf of theproducers with Mark Reinhart, executive vice president of distribution andacquisitions for Regent.
