Award in recognition of the European performance of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Warner Bros Pictures International will receive Rentrak’s International Box Office Achievement Award at this year’s CineEurope convention and trade show (June 27-30).

The award, which acknowledges the highest grossing film across the European region for the last 12 months, will be presented at an awards lunch to be held on June 30 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Congress Centre.

Over the past 12 months there have been more than 10 titles exceeding €100m at the European box office, but Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 leads them all with a European cumulative total of €262m.

Now in its 20th year CineEurope brings together more than 50 countries to do business, the convention includes screenings of upcoming films unreleased in the region and informative seminars about the operating and marketing of motion picture theatres.
