Lord Attenborough, as well as with Lord Puttnam, were early enthusiastic supporters of American Multi Cinema's (AMC now UCI) entrance into the British cinema market in 1984. They embraced and encouraged the late Stan Durwood, founder of AMC and myself as the Managing Director of AMC International to build the first 10-screen multiplex at The Point, Milton Keynes. Without there continued assistance over many years during our development program the cinema industry in Great Britain would not be as robust as it is today.

They are both deeply in my mind and heart forever.
