Revolver Entertainment has picked up the UK and Eire rightsto Toronto festival hit Saint Ralph.

Directed by Michael McGowan, the film is abittersweet comedy about a Catholic schoolboy who attempts to save his mother'slife with a miracle by winning the Boston marathon. It was billed as 'theCanadian Billy Elliot' by Screen International at Toronto. Revolver willrelease the film in spring next year.

Launched in 1997, Revolver is a specialist DVD distributorthat has recently expanded into theatrical distribution. Other upcomingtheatrical releases by Revolver include ChristopheHonore's controversial Ma Mere, starring Isabelle Huppert, and Chileandirector Andres Waissbluth's Los Debutantes.

Saint Ralph wasproduced by Alliance Atlantis and Amaze Film and Television. Alliance Atlantiscontrols worldwide rights and is handling international sales through AndrewHurwitz and William Morris Independent.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired the US rights, while OdeonFilms has Saint Ralph for Canada, M6 for France and Gaga for Japan.
