Christina Ricci and Liam Neeson will star in the psychological thriller After.Life for venture capitalist Bill Perkins' new LLeju Productions and Plum Pictures.

ICM packaged and arranged financing for the project through Perkins and represents Ricci and writer and first time director Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo. ICM holds North American rights and IM Global handles international sales.

Filming is set to begin in the New York region in November on the story of a young woman caught between life and death and a funeral director who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead and may want to bury her alive.

Perkins is producing with Plum's Celine Rattray and Brad Gilbert of Constellation Entertainment. Plum's Galt Niederhoffer and Pam Hirsch will serve as executive producers alongside Edwin Marshall and James Swisher of Harbor Light Entertainment.

'Agnieszka's vision for the film knocked my socks off and I knew this was the perfect first film for LLeju Productions,' Perkins said.

Ricci recently wrapped filming on New York, I Love You, which Plum co-produced and premiered at Toronto. She is also in development on a project called Black And White and is represented by Management 360.

Neeson currently stars in The Other Man, which also premiered at Toronto, and will be seen next year in the kidnapping thriller Taken, which has grossed more than $62m overseas. He is preparing to star as Abraham Lincoln for Steven Spielberg and is represented by CAA.

Vosloo graduated from NYU Film School where she was awarded the Wasserman Award for directing.
