Rising Star Media has broken ground for construction of its St Petersburg cinema complex KinoStar City. The 10,000square meter multiplex and entertainment centre is part of the Piter Raduga Shopping Center.Construction will be completed later this year.

This location is Rising Star's third multiplex in Russia, and thecompany said it has a number of other sites in active development in both St Petersburg and Moscow.

KinoStar City Raduga will house Russia's largestmultiplex cinema - with 14 screens seating 3500 moviegoers - in addition to anarcade, karaoke area, bowling lanes and more.

Rising Star is a joint venture betweenUS-based exhibition giant National Amusements and Heth'sSoquel Ventures.
