Beyond Films hasunveiled a new slate including a Nicolas Roeg erotic thriller with DonaldSutherland Robert Carlyle, a Bruce Beresford title with Colin Firth and twopictures with Ripley's Game star Dougray Scott.

Sutherland, whostarred in Roeg's classic psychological thriller Don't Look Now, willplay an author trapped in a web of lies when he re-teams with the director on MasterOf Lies. The sexually-charged film also stars Shirley Henderson.

Principalphotography starts in October, with Eddie Dick producing and Sally Hibbinexecutive producing.

Meanwhile, Scottwill headline The Cone Gatherers, adapted by Bernard MacLaverty fromRobin Jenkins' novel set on a Scottish country estate during World War 2. PatO'Connor, whose credits include Dancing At Lughnasa and who previouslyteamed with MacLaverty on 1984 romantic thriller Cal, is directing.

Principalphotography starts September in Scotland. Peter Barber-Fleming of Saltire Filmsis producing and David Collins of Samson Films executive producing.

Scott also starsin Things To Do Before You're 30, with Jimi Mistry, Emilia Fox andBillie Piper. The contemporary comedy drama, written by Patrick Wilde anddirected by Simon Shore, premieres in the Cannes market. Momentum Picturesco-developed the Samuelson Productions title and will handle UK distribution.

Rounding outBeyond's slate is Beresford's politically-charged, South Africa-set drama, TheDead Wait. Colin Firth and James McAvoy are to star, with Sheryl Crown,Oscar-nominated for Solomon & Gaenor, producing.
