Marco Weber's Senator Entertainment has promoted Rachel Rose to vice president of production and finance and hired Orly Ravid as vice president of acquisitions and domestic distribution.

Rose has been with Senator for two years and most recently served as executive director of production and finance.

Ravid, a former Maxmedia executive, will head the company's acquisitions efforts at all global film festivals and markets and is also charged with devising domestic distribution strategies for Senator's upcoming release slate.

The company's North American slate includes the sci-fi title Splice starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival horror hit All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, Julia Roberts drama Fireflies In The Garden and the Brett Easton Ellis adaptation The Informers.
