The International FilmFestival Rotterdam (IFFR) is collaborating for the first time with performingarts festival the Holland Festival.

The organisations willpresent a programme of 20 films in Amsterdam from June 8-11, duringthe 59th Holland Festival (June 2-25). IFFR will curate the new film section,which will be titled Rotterdam, Holland and will include fiction,documentary and short films.

The film programme willinclude the world premiere of Dutch film-maker Cyrus Frisch's Blackwater Fever, about a man travelling throughdesert landscapes. Other selections include the European premiere of multi-mediaproject Utopia Suite by Canadianartist Clive Holden, Rithy Panh'sLes Artistes DuTheatre Brule (The Artists of the Burnt Theatre), Michael Pilz's That's AllThere Is, and two films supported by Rotterdam's Hubert BalsFund, Jasmila Zbanic's Grbavica andRodrigo Moreno's El Custodio.The festival will also include a focus on the Quay Brothers, including anexhibition of 20 of their film sets.
