Hamptons International Film Festival director of programmingRajendra Roy has been promoted to artistic director and programming associateJosh Koury will now serve as programming manager/shorts programmer as part of amajor restructuring.

Roy will oversee all programming and the entire artistic focus ofthe festival's year-round activities. He will continue to work closely withexecutive director Denise Kasell and board chairman Stuart Match Suna.

Koury will remain in charge of programming the short film divisionand will report to Roy.

"Raj and Josh are incredibly creative and talented and havebeen key members to the Hamptons team," Kasell said. "I am thrilledthat they will be continuing to work with us in their new expanded roles.

"The expansion of the Hamptons new board members ensures thatthe festival will continue to benefit from a diversity of experience andopinions. I am confident they will be valuable assets to the growth of ourfestival."

Roy joined the Hamptons International Film Festival in 2002 asdirector of programming. Prior to that he spent eight years in the filmfestival programming and production field at companies such as the GuggenheimMuseum Bilbao and the Mix Festival.

Koury is also a documentary filmmaker and is programming directorand co-founder of the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival.
