Rupert Friend will make his feature directorial debut and star in Barton & Charlie & Checco & Bill, which Bron Studios and Fortitude International co-finance in association with Creative Wealth Media Finance.

Emily Blunt is in negotiations to co-star in the project, which Fortitude has introduced to international buys at the AFM. CAA packaged the project and represents US rights.

Friend wrote the screenplay and will produce alongside Aaron L Gilbert of Bron Studios and Margot Hand. Fortitude’s Nadine de Barros and Robert Ogden Barnum and Creative Wealth’s Jason Cloth serve as executive producers.

Principal photography is scheduled to commence in spring 2015 on the road movie about a grifter and a savvy woman who embark on a romantic adventure.

Friend stars in the TV hit Homeland and co-starred with Blunt in The Young Victoria. He will be seen next summer in Fox’s Hitman: Agent 47.

Blunt stars in Disney’s December release Into The Woods and her 2015 roles include Sicario opposite Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin.
