The 54th SanSebastian International Film Festival (Sept 21-30) will offer a programmedevoted to films about emigrants.

Theretrospective will screen about 30 films on the topic in a range of genres andstyles.

The classictitles include Louis Malle's Alamo Bay;Elia Kazan's America, America; Bernardo Bertolucci's Besieged; Goran Paskaljevic's SomeoneElse's America; Luchino Visconti's RoccoAnd His Brothers; Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne's La Promesse, Jose Maria Forn'sLa Piel Quemada and Isao Yukisada's Go.

Recent works includeEliane de Latour's Birds of Heaven (LesOiseaux Du Ciel), Carlos Iglesias' UnFranco, 14 Pesetas, and Radu Mihaileanu's Live And Become (Va, Vis Et Deviens).
